Outside the flower shop I found this plant, the flower of our landscape Uppland.
The idea of landscape flowers was first launched here in Sweden in 1908 following the example of the United States 'state flower'. Each province would have its own plant as a symbol.

According to Wikipedia this plant has a lot of names such as:
snake's head fritillary, snake's head, chess flower, frog-cup, guinea-hen flower, leper lily (because its shape resembled the bell once carried by lepers), Lazarus bell, checkered lily or, in northern Europe, simply fritillary.

We have this plant in our garden, but it takes a long time I think before we can see the flowers!
