What's the worst that can happen?

Jack frets when he is ill. A lot.
So this morning, when he had a slightly sore throat, he asked his father "what's the worst that can happen?"
Jack asks this a lot.
So Dad told him the worst that would happen was, he would get a bad cold.

Nope.

Apparently the worst that could, and did, happen was throwing up all over your French class and teacher.

Full marks to the French teacher who managed to get him to lean forward and keep his blazer clean! Not sure that would have been the first thing on my mind!
