Marathon des Sables

Great night at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay last night for the launch of Richard Harrington and Mark Lewis Jones' Marathon des Sables epic adventure in April. Rory Coleman, ultra athlete, talked about the 10 times he's completed Marathon des Sables and the incredible training schedule he's putting our boys through. TV presenter Lowri Morgan did a lovely job talking to Professor Chris Pepper about his research and lovely patient Kate Giles bravely shared her own cancer experience with the audience. Lovely to catch up with our tireless volunteers from the Cardiff and Gwent Branches too and meet Welsh rugby player Ken Owens of the Scarlets. The room was full of people living wisely and fiercely!
