Giant celebratory candle

By chance 100th blip day coincided with last day in Laos day and also with passing through Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand - home to the giant candle festival. 'Buddhist Lent' is celebrated in the town with giant carved wax candles on floats, hence this rather more permanent candle sculpture in the local park,

Edited to add: as Helen points out saying 'Buddhist Lent' was a bit lazy on my part, actually it's Khao Phansa - when monks stay in the temple grounds, studying and meditating, throughout the 3 month rainy season.
