Rainbow reflections

The kitchen plumbing job took a little longer than expected so I decided to defer the other job to next time. That gave us a free afternoon so we went up to Castlehead where the late afternoon light was beautiful.

As the sun was going down there was a rainbow effect in the cloud which gave this really unusual reflection in the lake. I don't think I've ever seen an effect like this. It makes up for missing last night's aurora. The reflection in the lake was much more spectacular than the appearance in the sky. I took pictures which showed both but this one with the silhouetted trees was the winner.

Afterwards we walked down to the lake where there was a lovely sunset. The landing stages were crawling with photographers.

A perfect day was rounded off with a couple of pints at the Dog & Gun followed by fish & chips back home :-)
