My Orchid

my elegant colourful orchid
lives content in my bathroom now
until that room became its home
no flowers did it bloom.

I`ve had this orchid now
for a good three years or more
kitchen, lounge and spare room
it has lived, but no blooms did appear

now in the bathroom it has lived
for over thirty five days
now settled and very content
the orchid has flourished and bloomed

not once nor twice but three times
i guess it feels at home
with all the light and airiness
and dampness from the shower

now my orchid stands tall and proud
shining with its elegance and beauty
a smile appears on every face
when they see the orchid at its very best
