Shake The Disease
Evening all.
This day I was in Eyam again. Celebrated plague village in Derbyshire where actually no one had died of anything remotely bubonic plague like since, ooh, roughly three hundred and odd years or so.
perhaps we could throw some police tape around the whole village and have a uniformed police man saying " move along please. nothing to see here", because there really isn't...
now, if they could stretch to infecting one or two of the older residents with a small dose of plague, lock them in a sealed room, deny them antibiotics, make them sit in their own poo and tie chicken bottoms to their faces, surrounded by a ring of ashes from burnt dogs and cats, whilst drinking their own urine, and we'd get a bit of proper experimental archaeology/history in action.
then I'd be impressed, £6 to get in an ironically poxy museum about pox and they don't know what they're talking about!
Move on. It's over, we have penicillin.
night all
