The Northern Lights of old Aberdeen
Last night the stars were in abundance, it was cold and so very clear and the northern lights burst into sight, visible to the naked eye in all their glory and lit up the skies of Aberdeenshire giving those lucky enough to see them nothing less than an awe inspiring display. We travelled to a pitch dark field to see it at its best, only to see it even more vividly when we arrived home as it ramped up its curtains of colour, green and blue amid infinite twinkly stars. Felt like a Hollywood film, and you couldn't but help grin staring up at it. It was oh so very cold though, so the late night pyjama army of sky watchers must surely have drained the national grid upon their return indoors for a warm drink, unless it was the whisky they reached for.
The sun making its presence known in the middle of the night, mind blowingly lovely. One of the many beautiful pictures Dave took, I stole this one to share, there was no way I was letting this one escape from our next blip album.
