Between the Rain

Today was so beautiful! Every time I looked up I either got water in my eyes or the sun! Once I was standing out front watching the rain across the street and staying perfectly dry because it wasn't raining on my side! You know, just the sky is enough for me to be excited but then when you throw in the rivers, the oceans, the lakes, the trees, the animals, our friends - wow! Religion, a lot of times, teaches us that we suffer here on earth just waiting for heaven. I look around and see heaven right here on earth. This is not to say that I have never had sadness in my life, because I have, but I think I must be missing something because no matter how sad I am I can always feel better and stronger just breathing in and looking at all the beauty that we are surrounded by.

And now, the beauty that I miss seeing personally, I get to see on blip when someone else sees that gorgeous sunset or that darling dog, or that ripple in the water! I think I am starting to sound really sappy so I'll end with this comment. I called my sister today and asked her how the weather was 60 miles from here. She said, "Oh, you know, it never changes. Its always gloomy and dark. First it rains, then it stops, then it rains, then it stops." Hard to believe 60 miles makes such a difference!
