The Angel of the North
A flying (did you see what I did there?) visit to Anthony Gormley's Angel of the North on the way back from Northumbria and a sunny few hours on Bamburgh beach & some delicious crab sandwiches!
It is Britain's biggest sculpture, the world's largest angel sculpture & one of the world's most visited pieces of art - someone visits it every second, that's 90,000 every day and 33 million a year. It is also a personal favourite - I'm obviously not alone in liking it!
I took loads of photos!
