hen party

this morning a gaggle of us visited Terra Firma Farm, our local community and free range farm. It was a lovely sunny morning but it was a breezy cold -8C (17F), numbing noses and toeses. With excited little ones leading the way we visited rabbits, chickens, a little donkey, cows, snuffling pigs and the biggest mitten pilfering hound ever. A fantastic time we had feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs from the barn. We shopped at the farmstand on our way out, each of us leaving with something; jumbo eggs or Bratwurst.
