The Number 61
The number 61 was going down Long Hill from Buxton as we visited the Goyt valley this afternoon.
The sun didn't last long and we didn't see many birds. We had a much longer walk than planned but managed OK and didn't get too muddy and although it was overcast it wasn't cold. Almost all other walkers seen had a dog or dogs - They are supposed to be on leads at all times the notice at the start of the walk said - but of course .... ( you know the rest of this story )
Passing through Chapel-en-le-Frith - 'The Capital of the Peak' I realised I hardly know the place and it looked quite attractive in evening sun.
A bookshop 'Reading Matters' looks worth a visit.
