Room with a view

In fact, it's the view from the nearest window to my desk at work. Not a bad view. Shame I'm stationed in the middle of a large room looking inwards not outwards so I rarely get to see this during the day!

I'm ready for my bed tonight I must say. I was woken a couple of times last night to advise on the deal that was being done overnight in London. I was drafting and approving wording for an agreement on my mobile and laptop from the comfort of my bed at 3am...How glamorous! My poor colleague who went down to London on a hour's notice yesterday afternoon was up all night and didn't escape the office until lunch time today. I'd never have managed that. I need my sleep too much! This kind of thing rarely happens in my line of work so it was quite exciting. Once in a blue moon is fine for me though. We did get a gratifying number of thank yous from a happy client too, which is always a bonus.

The last day of the month means billing all day so it was heads down and nose to the grindstone, churning out the invoices. I think it was a reasonable month, which I need as I've had a couple of lean ones.

I find I am really enjoying the new working set up. As a naturally gregarious person, the open plan suits me and I'm pleased to say that the space we've each been given is surprisingly generous. I realise now that my previous solitary daily existence was part of the cause for my malaise lately.

At home, I found lodger, L, is staying til tomorrow so we crammed in three (!) Breaking Bads and are now into the final series. Compelling yet sad at the same time.
