Anthony Burgess's William Foster Harpischord

I was at the Anthony Burgess Foundation today for an excellent production of Eliot's The Waste Land to the music Burgess wrote for it while at Manchester University. Burgess was a Manchester lad and loved very near where I live when I am in the UK.

Today's blip shows Burgess's William Foster Harpischord, mentioned in the early pages of Earthly Powers where it gets abused, falls out of tune and produces 'ensoured harmonies'.

In the background of the photo are some of Burgesses's typewriters.
