One more step

along the world I go!

And so, we're here, 365 days with A and 365 (not quite consecutive and often back dated) blips. Incredible. I can't believe it. I'm insanely proud of A and the sunny person she has grown to be and rather proud of myself for somehow sticking to this project.

A had such a happy day. Sweet family moments this morning by the fire as E helped to open beautiful presents and proudly "read" out her card to A. A stream of messages and calls from friends near and far all with us in thought and spirit on this special day. Sitting on the fireplace step, playing with her new Peppa Pig tea set and stepping on and off the step, standing up and down again and again, showing of her balance and smile. unpacking her nesting dolls and taking pretend phone calls! The arrival of Granny S, the excited dash to collect Granny E from the station. Great pride and the cutest exaggerated steps in the first shoes A tried and quickly gaining speed in the new, first shoes that fit properly. E trying the most hideous, sparkling and flashing Lelli Kelly's. Birthday shopping, treats, tea, a cake (made by E and Granny) and a candle, a splashy bath and a sound night's sleep.

Simple pleasures are so worth celebrating. How blessed we are. Oh and those curls.
