Nelson Monument

It was a glorious spring morning (once I'd removed the ice from the car windscreen this morning). I'd dropped the car off midway to work so I could make a quick getaway from work to head down to Durham.

This is the Nelson Monument on Calton Hill, and a very dilapidated telephone box. The City Observatory sign is rather outdated now - it's now "Collective" art gallery.

Had a good drive down to Durham after an early finish at work.
