I'm surprised that so many of the coffee shops and restaurants in Bellingham have very talented artists chalking up their offerings.

This is one of Avenue Bread's locations -- the first one -- on Railroad Avenue. Avenue also has a lot of very cheerful paintings by one of our favorite local artists, Ben Mann. Cynthia and I have each blipped his work several times.

I have to go batten down the hatches -- another strong wind warning is in effect. Time to unplug the electronics -- can't afford any more damage. It was already gusting up to 38 MPH at the airport half an hour ago.
