End of the Line

This great adventure in basketball, in teaching, in long, strange miles apart, came to an end tonight in Northeastern Oregon. The girls had composed themselves by the time this picture was taken, but the locker room was a flood of tears. I've said and written so much about them for the last few months, I wouldn't know what to add now. Except to say that I will especially miss the seniors, who of course must move on. I told the girls in the sad locker room that I don't have the right words right now, but they will come to me.

The end is always so abrupt, and so final. Thanks for all of your words of encouragement along the way.
