Diary of an Edinburgher

Hamish and Frank

Rushed to the beach this morning early - JR had forgotten to do something vital at the workplace. I had a wander. No wind. Tide right out. Miles of lovely hard sand for running and chasing balls on (the dogs, not me). Wall to wall sunshine. Dogs everywhere! It was bliss.

I chatted with a labradoodle (Nugget) and his owner, a lurcher/bearded collie cross, and two husky looking crosses with lovely blue eyes. But best of all - we met Hamish and his dad, Frank. It was hard to take photos because of the strong sun and dark shadows - I didn’t like to keep bossing people around too much.

Hamish is a 2 year old miniature Schnauzer. He was such a good boy. So was Frank.

We asked where he got him - Hamish is his girlfriend’s dog, so he wasn’t sure. But he’s going to find out and let us know! Frank had his reward of a bacon bap and Hamish had his liver muffin. S’true! The wee coffee cabin shop on the beach knows their clientele - dog walkers AND dogs! Enterprising.

I could have stayed there all day, but we had things to do… Big clean up required for our visitors tonight.

But you had a big clean up not long ago!’ I hear you cry.

You might very well think that; I couldn’t possibly comment...
