Crickets

finally my crickets are laying eggs. female and male crickets are really easy to tell apart. The males have only two appendages protruding from the rear of their body and the females have three. In the photo they are all females you can see the two appendages which are what the males look like but all of these females are laying eggs. The middle appendage (the third one) is inserted into the preferred laying spot and she lays her eggs. I have been waiting for about 4 weeks for this to happen but I don't think I had old enough crickets, now I hope they will hatch as the frogs are voracious feeders.
