Aconites

These are a few of the magnificent show of aconites and snowdrops at Pluscarden Abbey. This was another of the Wolf of Badenoch's bonfire sites! He fired it after Elgin and before Forres, it was on the route. The Abbey was controlled by the Bishop of Elgin, who in turn was the representative of the Pope, who had excommunicated the Wolf at the request of his wife, Euphemia, Countess of Ross.
