One of the many Weirs on the River Avon @ Bristol
It was nice to have the Sun out again an so time for a trip down by the river.
This is the weir at St.Anne's near Bristol. What was once a dirty industrialised waterway is now quite pleasant? This weir was built to maintain the water level between the tidal and non tidal sections. This then keeps the water level in the 'Feeder canal' at a constant level, through to the Bristol City center and 'Floating Harbour'
