March 1st.

Today, as promised, is the official beginning of my 365 photo journal. I didn't choose this date at random. March 1st is a very significant day to me and nearly all of the people in my home town. I have not talked about what happened six years ago on this date with very many people and never have I written about it in entirety. And I'm still not ready to.
When I woke up that morning to find loads of missed texts, calls, and a few confusing voicemails I realized something was up but I figured it was just the trivial-drama calls, drunk dials, where-you-ats, and can-you-come-pick-us-ups, that are the usual at that age. If only...
I never imagined it was something that would change the lives of so many forever. So I dedicate this photo journal to you Ross Taylor & Kara Patejak. It's a celebration of life. A motivation to make something happen everyday. And a reminder find the beauty that is out there in the world. Until we meet again my friends, I will keep looking up.
