The Windvane Family
Looking for something Abstract this month. Drove past this group on the Boulevard roundabout in Livingston, West Lothian. That'll do.
Created in 1995 by local blacksmiths Phil Johnsons & Co. From a distance, the sculptures resemble the silhouettes of cathedral spires, like Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, especially with the wind vanes as construction cranes.
Makes me think of some lanky alien species that has got itself lost and stranded on a roundabout in Livi.
