peregrines

this pair of peregrines successfully raised their first family on a ledge of an old mill last year. We are hopeful that they will be great parents again this year. Earlier today they were seen mating, but by late afternoon I think they had fallen out !!

techy bit; I took a few flight shots today using a x2 converter on my big lens but I was disappointed with the results due to the loss of aperture size and so shutter speed in the available light. I am also convinced that the combination looses a lot of the sharpness of the lens.

Warning, these birds are addictive and so you may be subjected to many more shots like this over the coming weeks !!
