Storm Damage

Last weekend we had a heavy wet snowfall (power out, trees down) on the Island. Today we cleaned up some of the mess. Our curly willows were devastated. We brought cuttings from curly willow trees on my parents property in Ontario about 20 years ago and they have grown and thrived. But they did not like the dump of wet snow and we lost multiple big branches and 10 feet of height. ;-( they are a sad sight. This is a shot after we cut away the damage. We worked all morning in the garden and then lunch and a nap. Then the wind and snow flurries started again. I guess we are finally getting winter on the West Coast.
