not reclaiming the land just yet

The teeny drip I've been concerned with over the past few days which looked as if it had only just started happening since the radiator was reconnected and which has been slightly mitigated and slightly worsened then re-mitigated again but never completely stopped now looks as if it was a pre-existing condition. The constant presence of a large, fluffy towel directly beneath all the re-connected radiator valves on which the leak-detecting pieces of toilet paper were placed hid the small mark on the floor directly beneath the valve which could only have been formed from a small but repeated drip over the course of several months or years. It is possible that I noticed it at some point previously only to have forgotten it in the long months since the radiators were last connected and active. As long as there are no downstairs-neighbour-kitchen-ceiling-threatening quantities involved then a few towels beneath the valve will be fine for now.
