into the big smoke

dropped the kids of at mum and dad's and shot off into town to see pebble - the brand new shop in rosemount that's stocking my daisyglaisy things as well as loads of other ace stuff. the shop looks brilliant and was hoaching, which was great. 198 rosemount place, if you're in aberdeen. I bought some cool hand-knitted socks.

then we went to see the tapestry of scotland at aberdeen art gallery. we spent ages there - it's huge! the amount of work that has gone into each individual tapestry is amazing, the whole thing is wonderful. I think I might go back before it moves on in april to watch the video that accompanies it, I want to see the artwork that was the basis of each tapestry - the style is very consistent throughout.

it's difficult to say which panel was my favourite...of course I would choose a politics-based one such as the bannockburn or the william wallace one, but I love the vikings one too - those evil bastards looked so great!

curry for tea then watched the hobbit with the girls. good day. hooray, it's march!
