Fairy Hunter
It was a beautifully clear day and reasonably warm for November, so we took a "nature walk" this afternoon. (Actually, there is no other kind of walk around here, as we live out in the country.) At one point I was kind of looking up to see if there was anything interesting to photograph, and when I looked back down, my daughter was off in this field of dried Queen Anne's lace, blazing her own trail. I called out, "What are you doing over there? Come back to the trail." She replied, "But Mom! I'm hunting for fairy wisps!" What else could I do but go and help her?
Didn't get any decent shots of the milkweed pods, but several others have.
