First frost
There is something about the first frost that I find intriguing. I am not sure if it is the recognition of the cold weather or if it is the abundance of ice crystals covering everything. This morning, the ground was covered with a beautiful white sheen. I was compelled to pull out my macro lens and explore the tiny world of frost and ice crystals.
My time was short and so I took this picture (and quite a few others) hand held. I am thinking that I should devote more time during the next frost and use my tripod to increase the depth of field. Regardless, I like the ice crystals in this shot and the pattern of veins.
