I do like to be beside the seaside

Today I went to Largs to see 'The Pencil', a monument commemorating the Battle of Largs in 1263 between the Scots and Norwegians. As usual it was cold, windy and very wet but ... hey ... if I waited for good weather I'd never go anywhere!
