Gym competition

Sally had a grade competition today. She performed a routine on the bars, beam and floor, did a flatback vault and showed off her 'range and conditioning'. Her floor routine music is the theme to The Great Escape, complete with tunnelling moves!

We'd watched her friends go first and they'd all passed, so the pressure was on. I'm happy to report she aced it - a great set of scores, certificate and ribbon. Well done Sal!

The photo hopefully gives some idea of the colour, noise, movement and concentration involved in these comps - which go on all day. All the events are going on at the same time so there's music blaring, parents cheering, coaches nervously watching and the scary judges examining every tiny move. Exhausting but exciting.
