Horsdean Lichens

I love lichens, and we don't have very many locally - I've always thought this is something to do with the appalling traffic but the exception is Horsdean, right next to the by-pass, which has a fine variety apparently unperturbed by the fumes. I was walking up there this morning and once again was entranced by the colours and patterns on this one small birch tree.
