Sleep

Jacob woke in the middle of the night, in a bit of a state, with a high temperature and his face and bed covered in thick snot. After trying and failing to settle him we all ended up in the kitchen eating toast and drinking milk at 4am. Only Henny stayed fast asleep and oblivious to it all. After a cosy sleep all in our bed Jacob woke at 6.30am fresh as a daisy and raring to go. How?!
I took the early shift, easy to eat breakfast snacks, TV, cars, football, snatching a few minutes of snoozing on a floor cushion before being force fed pear. When Stephan woke we all had breakfast together and then he took j and h to the park. Back to bed, followed by a bath, bliss.
Somehow Jacob resisted a nap even though he was pushed around the park for a whole hour. It wasn't until much later, curled up on my lap watching the Snowman that he finally gave in.
Stephan did lots in the new room this afternoon. Can't wait for it to be finished, not long now.
