High tide

Guernsey has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world. Today was one of the highest, 10m. The boys and I went down to town this evening to see what we could see. The civil protection volunteers were out in force, stopping traffic as the waves crashed over the sea walls, bringing pebbles raining down on to the road.
My "not-so-great" shot shows the tide having covered the main toad in town. You are not mistaken, there is indeed a man walking down the middle of the road bare foot!
