Goldeneye again

A rather better photo of the Goldeneye than the blurry one I posted a few weeks ago. This fellow was again in the Salford docks but a bit nearer the shoreline and the sun was shining today. The Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) are more commonly seen in Scotland, but with the milder winter have presumable come south. According to the RSPB there are 200 breeding pairs in the UK with an additional estimated 27,000 birds wintering here.
