day out

A holiday today for D & her girls, and her sister.

So we went to visit sister Sigrid. She's in Murnau am Stafelsee, just at the edge of the Bavarian Alps.

I love that drive south from Munich on the A95. About 60km from the mountains, you suddenly see them (on a clear day). It was clear today. Beautiful.

That part of Bavaria is wonderful too.

A superb lunch in a local Italian restaurant (I expect to smell bad until Wednesday after the garlic soup), and walk in the Murnau Moos (the local swamp, bog or whatever) and then coffee & cake.

No dinner required.
