A few hours spent with my old-but-good microscope yielded a lot of shots of prepared, stained slides using my Nikon D70. Using the attic I am wary of opening up my D5100 to expose it to dust. This is a cross section through a common earthworm, showing the folds (villi) lining its gut. Think of all the dirt and biological debris that has been passed through and digested in there before being returned as little worm casts on the lawn.
