Zürich

If you have never paid 15 quid for a Margherita at some random Italian place, you haven't been to Zurich yet.

But you should, because it is really nice. In the words of Katherine Price, you can almost smell the wealth, but that is not a bad thing per se. Zurich is massively beautiful. Loads and loads of old Jugendstil (I think) houses are everywhere. Public transport includes funiculars on the hills around the city and cruises on the Zurich lake. They have an amazing Museum, an equally amazing Kunsthaus, and loads and loads of other stuff that one might find interesting.

Oh, but maybe go in the summer. This was bloody cold.
