March Challenge - Chatoyant/simplicity2

Day 2 of DDW's March daily challenge and a dip into LittlestDragons's simplicity challenge - Chatoyant/simplicity2

Note 1 to self - if you're going to do blips from your iPod camera for LittlestDragon's simplicity challenge, take the iPod lead with you so can download the pictures :)

Note 2 to self - when trying to show off how posh you are 'cos you've got a Blu-ray disc, check that it produces pretty patterns like DVDs do first :(

I have blipped the interference patterns you can get from a CD or DVD before, so I thought, as I have a 2 1/2 year old laptop with a Blu-Ray drive, and finally I have actually bought a Blu-Ray disc to play in it, why not do the interference patterns from that for Chatoyant, as they are changing in colour dependant upon your viewpoint.

That was when I discovered a slight snag - they are much fainter, and to fit in with LittlestDragon's, straight out of the simplest camera, no processing challenge, there was no way they were going to be visible. Fortunately the Blu-Ray that I bought also came with a DVD copy, so that was able to give me some nice patterns instead, and it is the same content on the disc!

Will try to remember cable tomorrow so I can upload at my normal time.
