Crescent Moon

A friend asked me last night to photo the moon....but it was hiding so I took it tonight when I saw it's meagre footprint in the sky. Originally took it at 100 iso but nearly dozed off waiting for the shutter to close. Eventually I settled on an iso of 25,600 because I was using a 2.8 400mm lens with a 1.4 extender.
I like the way you clearly see the crescent moon but the more you look the more obvious it is that the full moon is always there. Sometimes we just don't have te patience to look long enough or hard enough to see the whole picture.
