Silhouette on the stairs

I watched my son walking down the steps and loved the contrast his body created against the light pouring through our dining room below as well as the shadow he cast along the wall. I asked him to stop while I pulled out my phone, and came away with this.

It looks a little too staged, with him just standing still on the steps, but I still love the contrast and the certain mysteriousness of the final shot.

It's funny how often I stress over which photo to post each day. I had another option today that I ultimately discarded, and I'm always worried that I'll shoot something better later if I post a shot prematurely. It's just not worth the drama!
