Tollcross
Blimey it's March already! It was a lovely bright sunny day. This image is of the junction called "Tollcross" although there was never a Toll here nor a cross, the exact origin of the name is unknown, although old maps show a street call "Toll Crois" and there was a Toll at the other end of this street (leading to the Grassmarket). The clock in the middle of the junction originates from 1901 and was originally a weight-driven pendulum clock but was converted to electricity and still runs today.
