Kyyttö Gourmet

Bought a selection of gourmet meat straight from the producer. The meat is kyyttö, eastern finncattle.

Kyyttö cattle are very extraordinary - and their meat is delicious. A Finnish sculptor and painter Miina Äkkijyrkkä is world famous for her kyyttö-works. She is also a very important person for kyyttö cattle, for she is the one who saved the entire race late 1980's. Nowadays the population is 500 strong - only.

Bovik, the farm I bought this meat, is one of those contributed to the preservation of this endangered race.
