Selfies: Not Just for The Oscars...

A grand day for Absent Voices in action...
The morning after Hollywood's biggest stars were viewed millions of times on Twitter in Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres' celeb-packed selfie, our own Anne McKay and Yvonne Lyon headed to Whinhill Primary School in Greenock for the first of their Folk of the Sugar Shed sessions.
Not to be outdone, the girls whipped out the phone and took a wee Absent Voices selfie outside the school.
They reported back to say a fantastic time was had by P5 & 6 classes as they sang along with Yvonne to African beats couples with Gaelic lyrics and drew scenes from the Sugar Sheds with Anne.
We will report back in the coming months as Annie and Yvonne are there for the next six Mondays.
