Banskia

I became mildly obsessed photographing banksia flowers at their different stages during my afternoon walk with Bonnie. We tried out a new spot today - not far from my house but never knew it was there - Kensington Bushland Reserve. It's not big but is still a lovely little patch of native vegetation. It was chocka block full of red-tail black cockatoos too! There was a whole family perched no more than 10 metres above me all on open bare branches, alas all I had was my iphone! Hence I became obsessed with banksia cones! One of my favourite native flowers - and also a favourite with the black cockatoos too!
