Cones galore

I've been inundated with paperwork and house repairs ever since we got home over a week ago. Still have the floor fitters arriving later in the week, so there will be much moving of furniture as 4 rooms are being fitted.

But this afternoon, it was so nice I got out into the garden for a couple of hours. This Fir tree is in the shrubbery, needing attention because some horrible crab grass had grown in and out of the lower branches. But the top, about my height, has masses of cones and the end of each twig has tiny white flowers. The needles are soft, short and a bit stubby, not at all sharp. I have no idea what variety of fir this is. Does anyone have any suggestions?
