More Baking

Today I taught Naam how to make oatmeal raisin cookies. We laughed as we talked about preferences. She doesn't really like raisins, sugar, oatmeal, or soft cookies, but she wanted to help me make this recipe anyway.

When she bit into a freshly baked, soft and still slightly warm cookie, she exclaimed, "It's not cooked!" I proceeded to explain that it was supposed to be soft like that, and many people prefer their cookies that way. Since moving to Thailand, I've been trying to learn how to make crunchy cookies. They were recipes I avoided in America, but here, a cookie with a crunch is preferred.
