Ralau!

Perfect day for the 63. Westricher Fastnachtsumzug in Ramstein, our local Carnival Parade.

The parade was great as always! 20 000 spectators - that's pretty good for a small city.

"Ralau" is what everybody in Ramstein attempting the parade is shouting - to and from participants and spectators. "Helau" is better known and more common, but it varies locally.

We had the afternoon off (barely anybody working anywhere today) and I always think, if so many locals put so much work and effort in something like this parade, I should go and take a look.
It was fun!

And now that's it for this years carnival season.
