....... That the logo on a tin of Tate & Lyles golden syrup is of the carcass of a rotting lion with a swarm of bees? It represents their slogan "out of the strong came forth sweetness".

Golden syrup is the number one topping here on pancake day. It was lovely to be able to give one mindee with an egg intolerance his first pancake. As I found the Betty Crocker mix only contains dried egg which doesn't affect him.

I think today is the first ever shrove Tuesday where I haven't made a pancake for a family member :-(
